How Ophir Works

What Ophir actually is, the gap it fills, and why an answer you can verify beats one you can’t.

What Ophir is

Ophir is an add-on for the AI chatbot you already use, so long as it’s supported, such as Claude or ChatGPT. Think of it like a plug-in or extension: your chatbot keeps everything it already does, and gains a new ability it never had.

Ophir brings not only direct access to real market data, but an AI analytics engine with easily verifiable results. Ophir connects to historical and live data across forex, crypto, and stocks, and works as a specialist your chatbot delegates tasks to. When you ask something about the market, your AI recognizes the question, passes it to Ophir, and Ophir does the work against actual price data.

You don’t have to manage any of this. Once you connect Ophir to your AI of choice, you use it the same way you already do today. You ask your question the way you’d ask anything else, in plain English. Setting Ophir up is a one-time connection.

The gap it fills

To see how powerful this is, ask a chatbot a real market question without Ophir connected — “How many times has NVDA crossed its 50 SMA this year?” Can your chatbot answer this question? If it can, you’ll likely get a confident-sounding answer — maybe “four times”. But can you trust it?

Start with the obvious problem: on its own, your chatbot has no access to historical market data. It isn’t reading a chart. But suppose it could pull the data. A number sitting in a paragraph is still just a number in a paragraph. To check it, you’d open the chart, add the 50 SMA, set the date range, and count the crossings by eye — and by then, what time have you saved? If anything you wasted more time by asking your chatbot that question instead of going straight to the chart like you do today anyways.

That’s a simple example. Now consider questions that are difficult and mentally exhausting to conduct by hand yourself: “What’s the probability of a bullish three-, five-, and ten-day run after a classic indecision candle?” Verifying it by hand is hours of work and leaves you mentally drained. All the while the market continues to move, resulting in potentially missed opportunities due to the complexity of analysis required in real time.

AI gets things wrong. So do human analysts, and so does every trader reading this. That’s precisely why verification isn’t a nice extra — it’s how you judge whether any AI answer is worth acting on. That gap is what Ophir closes. And closing it changes what’s realistic to ask: analysis that used to take hours or days — probabilities across multiple horizons, or a long-term read on NVDA that weighs chart health against fundamentals, news, and sentiment — collapses into minutes, sometimes seconds.

What actually happens when you ask

Back to NVDA. You ask your chatbot how many times NVDA has crossed its 50 SMA year-to-date. Ophir pulls the real historical data, runs the analysis, and sends back two things together:

  • The answer in text — Ophir provides factual analysis rooted against the single most important source of truth: the timestamp/date.
  • An interactive chart with the answer drawn on it — each crossing marked directly on NVDA’s actual price action.

You read the number and see it proven at the same moment. No rebuilding the chart. No counting by hand. No wondering if the AI was right or wrong, you can see it for yourself.

That pairing — a written answer plus visual proof on a real chart at the speed Ophir does it in — is the thing your AI of choice cannot do.

Ophir knows what kind of trader you are

“What’s the setup on NVDA?” is a vague question. The right answer depends entirely on who’s asking.

Registration is free and starts with a short six-question quiz that sorts you into a trader profile — scalper, swing trader, or macro trader. That profile becomes the sensible default whenever a question leaves room for interpretation.

Ask that vague NVDA question as a scalper, and you’ll get a 1–5 minute chart over recent weeks. Ask it as a macro trader, and you’ll get a multi-year weekly view. Same words, different right answer. And any time you’re specific, your request overrides the default.

The quiz also captures two other things. It asks how comfortable you are with technical indicators, so explanations arrive at your level rather than assuming you know what an RSI divergence is, which is especially helpful if you’re still learning fundamental market concepts.

And it asks what kind of account you trade — personal, funded, or analyst. Say you’re on a funded account and Ophir asks for the numbers that matter — balance, daily and max drawdown, your next deadline — at the moment it runs an analysis, so the read is held against your real limits rather than a generic setup. Analysis that ignores your drawdown limit isn’t useful to you.

Ophir handles facts. Your chatbot handles meaning.

Ophir’s output is deliberately factual and low on fluff. It returns what’s verifiably true in the data. Your chatbot does the interpreting — turning the raw result into an explanation that fits your profile, your risk rules, and your experience level. That division of labor is intentional, and it’s why the two work better together than either does alone.

Supercharging your AI assistant

Because Ophir attaches to your chatbot you don’t change anything about your process. You keep everything your AI already does — and those things pair remarkably well with market data. A macro trader deciding on a long-term equity position needs more than a chart. With Ophir connected, one conversation can hold the weekly price structure, the latest SEC filings, current Fed and geopolitical context pulled from the web, and your own thesis stored in a project — all at once. This only scratches the surface and each of these deserves its own walkthrough:

  • Priming your AI with your rules and thesis using projects or custom GPTs.
  • Combining Ophir with web search for earnings, sentiment, and macro context.
  • Reading filings and spreadsheets alongside charts.
  • Automated morning briefs that run before you sit down.

What Ophir isn’t

Ophir doesn’t send signals, doesn’t place trades, and doesn’t give personalized financial advice. It produces analysis you can verify — the decision of what to do next is yours.

Where to start

The fastest way to understand Ophir is to ask it something you already know the answer to, and watch it prove itself. Start here.
